Nod your head if you have worked for someone who demanded respect just because of a title. Were they good leaders or just taskmasters?

Michael Hyatt wrote a great piece on Martin Luther King, Jr. titled "Eight Leadership Lessons from Martin Luther King, Jr." in which he presents what he believes King's "I Have a Dream" speech provides insights into what it takes to be a truly great leader. Be sure to watch the video and then reflect upon how do you measure up to Hyatt's eight characteristics?

A Few Words About Our Campaign

Throughout 2023, the Wildland Fire Leadership Campaign will focus on the topic of servant leadership. Servant leadership has been a part of society since the dawn of "man." However, Robert Greenleaf is credited with coining the term in 1970 essay, "The Servant Leader." Greenleaf contended that "The servant-leader is a servant first. It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead."
